- 1 year Full-Time Continuing contract as a Resource Teacher
- Prior teaching experience is an asset
- Completion of an Educational Assistant program and/or experience as an Educational Assistant is an asset
- Membership in or eligibility to become a member in the Teacher Regulation Branch
- Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service
Responsibilities:
- Works with ELL students and students with mild to moderate academic difficulties
- Assesses student needs using a variety of assessment strategies and instruments
- Collaborates with and supports teachers in adapting and modifying curriculum
- Provides individual and small group instruction within or outside the classroom setting
- Oversees development and implementation of IEPs
- Collaborates with other professionals as appropriate
- Is a member of the School-Based Team
- Communicates effectively with staff and parents
